Reginald K.T. Yee

Reginald K.T. Yee is a 1978 graduate of the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai’i and was admitted to the Hawai’i state and federal bars in 1978. He is also admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Before joining Ekimoto & Morris, Mr. Yee practiced in both the private and public sectors, including being a non-equity shareholder and partner in a large Honolulu law firm for the last eight years. He concentrated his practice in the areas of collection, commercial and personal injury litigation, banking and financial services. In the public sector, he was a Senior Trial Attorney and Deputy Public Defender with the State of Hawaii Office of the Public Defender and a Deputy Attorney General in the Tort Litigation Division of the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General. He was also a Senior Trial Attorney and Staff Counsel in the Honolulu Office of American International General, in the area of insurance defense.

Mr. Yee has been a longstanding member of both the Hawaii and American Bar Associations and has published articles on trial practice for both the Trial Techniques and Automobile Law Committees of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practices Section of the ABA for which he also served as Vice-Chair. He has additionally been published in the Hawaii Bar Journal during law school on legal malpractice. He currently serves as a board member of the Collection Law Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association.

Mr. Yee is an American Bar Association Foundation Fellow and has been recognized as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer for Hawaii since 2016 by the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, Civil Plaintiff.
